Film Evening 4.2.2026

The Polin Institute invites you to a special screening of a newly released documentary “A Piece of Ground” which deals with the land issues in South Africa. One of the experts featuring in the film is Dr Ntando Mlambo who has visited us at Åbo Akademi University. There will be a brief introduction to the historical, social and political context of the film before the screening. After the film, we have a unique opportunity to discuss it with the documentarist herself, Sesihle Manzini. The discussion will be led by Dr Clementine Nishimwe. After the discussion, there will be an opportunity for continued informal discussion while sharing some simple food.
